Developers can now focus on building great user experiences.

Nakolos SDK 1.0.0 Now Available – Bringing 5G Broadcast to Android Apps with Ease

We are excited to announce the official release of the Nakolos Software Development Kit (SDK) Version 1.0.0. Following extensive testing and successful verification. The Nakolos SDK is now available to our customers. Enabling Android developers to seamlessly integrate 5G Broadcast capabilities into existing mobile applications, it will now be easy to bring 5G Broadcast to Android Apps.

The Nakolos SDK abstracts the complexity of 5G Broadcast technology behind a clean, developer-friendly API. Instead of requiring specialized knowledge of broadcast protocols, service discovery, or media delivery, developers can focus on building great user experiences while the SDK handles the underlying 5G Broadcast functionality.

Integrate 5G Broadcast to Android Apps Without Becoming a 5G Expert

Adding 5G Broadcast support to an existing Android application has traditionally required deep expertise in broadcast technologies and complex middleware. With the Nakolos SDK, that’s no longer necessary.

The SDK provides a straightforward integration model that enables developers to:

  • Discover available 5G Broadcast services
  • Receive FLUTE and RTP broadcast streams
  • Play broadcast content using standard Android media players
  • Listen to multiple streams simultaneously while instantly switching playback
  • Integrate licensing and diagnostics through a simple API

This allows development teams to introduce 5G Broadcast into their applications with minimal changes to their existing architecture and without investing in specialized 5G Broadcast expertise.

Reference Application with Full Source Code

To make integration even faster, we are also releasing the Nakolos Reference Application, including its complete source code. The Reference App demonstrates all major SDK capabilities in a production-style Android application and serves as a practical blueprint for integration. Developers can follow real implementation examples for:

  • Service discovery
  • Stream reception
  • Stream playback and switching
  • Full-screen playback
  • Licensing
  • Logging and diagnostics

Rather than starting from scratch, customers can simply reuse proven implementation patterns and adapt them to their own applications, significantly reducing integration time and accelerating development.

Ready for Customer Projects

Version 1.0.0 marks an important milestone for Nakolos in supporting developers. After comprehensive validation and verification, the SDK is now ready for deployment in customer projects. We look forward to helping our customers bring efficient, scalable, and future-ready 5G Broadcast experiences to Android Apps and devices faster than ever before.
